There's a 'secret' that all great philosophers and high achievers agree to be a universal truth. This secret revolves around this simple idea: You are what you think!

The English philosopher James Allen wrote, "As a person thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains."

The poet and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: "A man is what he thinks about all day long," and

Mark Twain wrote: "Life consists mainly of the thoughts that are forever flowing through one's head."

All these great minds discovered the secret of living a happy, purposeful, and productive life, and it is this:

We live in a world of thought. Our thoughts create our experiences, and thus, we experience what we think. It is the quality of our thoughts, then, that creates the quality of our life.

My good friend, before philosophers figured out this truth, God told us long ago in the Bible, '"As a person thinks in their heart, so he is" (Proverbs 23:7, NKJV).

 Jesus says,

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free! - John 8:32

God wants us to believe who He says we are, and to live like we believe these truths. This is Faith-living! This is the secret to transformational life change!

You need to say the same thing God says about you, and it will demolish your old way of thinking and give you a new way of thinking about yourself, about God, about your challenges, and that will radically change your worldview.

Let me share with you some truths the Bible says about you, that need to become things you say about yourself. Start every day by affirming these truths: Say:

I am crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me! (Galatians 2:20)

Christ Jesus, The Son, has set me free. So, I am free indeed! (John 8:36)

My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit! (1 Corinthians 6:19)

I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me! (Philippians 4:13)

Jesus Christ my Lord, has begun a good work in me, and He is faithful to bring it to completion! (Philippians 1:6)

God says, I am not condemned, because I belong to Jesus Christ! (Romans 8:1)

Nothing can ever separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus! (Romans 8:38-39)

In all things, God is working for my good! (Romans 8:28)

God is faithful. He will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear! (1 Corinthians 10:13)

God has not given me the spirit of fear, instead, He has given me the Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind! (2 Timothy 1:7)

My momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal glory that far outweighs them all! (2 Corinthians 4:17)

God can do exceeding, abundantly, above, more than my prayers, imagination, or wildest dreams, according to His mighty power that is at work within me! (Ephesians 3:20)

God is for me! Therefore, no one can be against me! (Romans 8:31)

You see, my friend, this is not the power of positive thinking. It's not your good thoughts that will turn your life around. The Bible says Jesus is the Living Word! The Word is God! And God's power gets activated when we confess and believe His Word.

Does that mean bad things will stop happening? Not really. But it does mean that you will be transformed and empowered to experience many more victories than losses because the powerful, living Word of God, that is “stronger than any two-edged sword” is at work within you!

 Pray this prayer:

Father God, I thank you for giving me the power of your Word. You say we should "know the truth, and the truth will set us free." Thank you, God, for loving me enough to speak to me through your Word.

Lord Jesus, help me to love your Word, to learn your Word, and to live your Word so that I will be transformed into Your likeness with ever-increasing glory. Make all the changes you want to make in my life and set me free, in Jesus' name, Amen!

"We … are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)
